Scrapbooking - Click

Hello there, How’s it going? I’ve certainly been away from my little blog longer than intended, I was so exhausted after the craft fair that all my mojo deserted me & the humidity in the air has been playing havoc with my vertigo, I’ve been fairly wobbly this last few days, but we had a little bit of a storm last night (2 rolls of thunder, 1 bolt of lightening & 5 minutes of torrential rain) and it seems to have cleared the air & my head – thankfully.

So yesterday I hit the craft desk & got on with some much overdue craftiness, I’d sketched this layout out & knew exactly which papers I was going to use but hadn’t started assembling it yet so I figured it would be a good project to start with.

I do love a story behind a photo, this one is a story of friendship, daftness & understanding. Whenever there is an event that all of our friends are attending, like a wedding or christening you will always find me & Jo together, sat in a corner chatting away & drawing up our plans on paper napkins with borrowed pens, or speculating on how something we’ve seen has been made. Our conversations are regularly punctuated with “ooohs” & “aaahs” causing strange looks from people we don’t know (our friends & families have learned to ignore it & let us get on with it). On this particular occasion Jo let out an “oooh” followed by a “you take a photo of me taking a photo of you” So we lifted our cameras & 1,2,3, click, photos taken. As it happens this was our friends wedding & I was the unofficial photographer, meaning I was taking photos long after the proper photographer had gone home. It also means that I am not on any of them, except for one, the one that Jo took & guess what, nearly 12 months on & I still haven’t seen it :D

The papers are from Sarah Hurley’s new “Say Cheese” collection (which can be found here in her shop). The camera paper is one of my favourite ever. As always with Sarah’s kits you can use them digitally or by printing them out & getting covered in ink & glue (as I have done here). The journaling tag, phrases, instant camera & speech bubble are all attached with 3d foam pads to add a bit of extra dimension.

Well that’s all from me for now, I’ve got lots of things to work on & share with you all & there’s loads of exciting stuff going on over at Hurley HQ so keep checking Sarah’s Blog & on here for regular updates.

Thanks for stopping by & taking the time to leave lovely comments, it’s always much appreciated. Take care & hope to see you soon.

C xx

What a great Friend! Your pages always make me want to scrapbook and then I turn to my desk - give up and make a card! ( I really need to tidy up!)
I do love your page and the papers you have used.
Glad you are feeling better - lets hope the weather improves!

This mugginess is so draining isn't it - glad your storm helped you feel better.

Wow! When your mojo returns she dances and sings and laughs! Your page is beautiful!

Also, thanks for mentioning the humidity and vertigo issue: I've been battling dizziness related to vertigo/inner ear problems for several years ... I bet humidity could be a trigger for me especially since I'm here in usually dry, dry, dry Northern Nevada!
